Kale is one of the healthy vegetables which you can serve the pet rat as a treat. Kale provides the pet rat with antioxidants. You can serve kale as a whole for the pet rat.


Rats find bread fascinating and always show a great alacrity towards the bread.

The bread should be served for the pet rats in moderation in order to prevent choking on the rats when they are eating bread.

Chocolate bars might appear palatable for the pet rat but it is dangerous for their health. Chocolate bars contain a toxic substance that can cause a tummy upset in the body system of the rats. 


Candies are not suitable for the pet rat. Candies contain a lot of sugars. You should prevent the kid from providing candies for the pet rat. Let them know that Candy is not good for the rat.
